Match Report
Boundary Oak School Girls - U11 Lions vs  Kingscourt School
On: Wednesday, 26 Jan 2022
Venue: at Home

This was a great game of hockey from both sides and a close fought contest, with Kingscourt winning 3-2, however it could have gone either way, with the ball being played and moved from end to end.

The girls, started looking and making excellent passes forward, trying to be more attacking as the match went on. However Kingscourt were just that little more eager to win the ball back, if they lost it and be first to tackle. When we had the ball, Boundary Oak were using the full width of the pitch and trying to push players forward.

As a result by the end of the first half the match was 2 all, with the second half moving just as fast. Yet Kingscourt kept pushing and trying to win the ball back and it was this pressure in our defence that rewarded them with a third goal.

Halle B, Isobel J and Sienna T did a great job in pushing forward and trying to attack the Kingscourt goal, hitting the wood work twice. Itallia S in defence, never stepped away from the tackles and was willing to push forward, supporting the forward players. Well Done girls and keep going for the next match.
